Aliens Colonial Marines BDUs -Alternative to custom made?

I am brand new to this, and want to make a reasonably accurate set of Colonial Marine armour and weapons. The biggest issue seems to be the camo BDUs.

I know I can buy a screen accurate set from Chef's Creations for £300+ but that isn't an option any time soon.

Question: is there a reasonably priced, and *available* alternative to these custom made sets?

Thanks for reading.

I bought these a couple years ago and after researching an Aliens Fansite (Ready Line) that I can't find anymore:

Helikon SFU Cotton Ripstop Polish Desert

Helikon CPU Shirt Polish Desert

Recently, I weathered the crap out of them to make them 'darker' and more grimy which helped a little... Pics below show a bit of the weathering (I didn't take many of the uniform without the armor on. Most of the bouse is covered by the chest/back armor...

They're getting hard to find in the UK, especially in adult sizes. The shirts in sizes other than Small are like hen's teeth.
I've found some trousers that will fit, but the shirt is a problem; I'm tall and broad chested.

If you can sew, there is a way to make your own (I plan to do this eventually). A company called spoonflower has the colonial marine camo pattern. If you can get an old pair of surplus fatigues, reverse engineer them (by unstitching them, and make your own peices (with some minor modifications like the mandarin collar), you can sew your own…

A lot of work but very rewarding…

Spoonflower fabric is crazy expensive and they don't really offer a decent weight fabric suitable for BDU's.
If screen accurate camo isn't a huge concern consider this ripstop fabric I found on Ebay. Not an exact match but it is fairly close and it's real military weight fabic.

Two vendors that I'm aware of that currently make Colonial Marine BDUs (and other items, too)
US - Spat Cave
UK - Caramac Props

I've bought things from both vendors many times, both are reputable (both these guys also have Etsy stores, I believe, if that's more your bag).
Note though, lead times can be long.
