Alien chestbuster skin, display ideas?

I made this awhile back and now I'm wondering how to display it.

I'd like something scientific looking, but not just a clear canister with the skin inside. I'm hoping one of you might have an idea I haven't thought of.

One idea I had was to place it between two pieces of glass and somehow connect them together...but that doesn't seem like something you'd see in the Alien/s "universe".

what about buying a glass tube with a lid, the try to attach some sort of metal hanger to the inside top of the lid, and hang it off there?

Can I ask what you used to make the skin? It looks good and almost "stinky" like in the films

How about making a replica of his hat and the chest patch and then a clear bent acrylic tub below it with the skin hanging off it.

That is a good idea, but to many things like this get put into a clear canister, like the old Area 51 alien embryo.

Why thank you! I used an old Halcyon chestbuster model, gave it four or five coats of liquid latex and simply peeled it off.

This is thinking outside of the box, but I don't want to necessarily capture the "flavor" of a particular scene. My thinking is "how would this look if a Weyland Yutani lab was trying to preserve it for study".

Maybe I'm over thinking this and a tube or cell would be what it would be stored in.

"Sci-fi" it up with LCARSish "print outs" in the open areas of the frame (temperature monitoring, humidity, etc); maybe rig up a back light behind the skin?

how about using an acrylic tube but blow torch a big hole in the side and drape the skin out of it maybe some remaining liquid in the tube.

or just pin it like people do to insects to a Aliens Sulaco Floor Tile

it may not hold up very long if its just latex, latex will last if its painted and sealed, raw latex will just fall apart in no time

That's o.k., this was pretty cheap and I can always make more.

I recommend a clear acrylic or plastic container with a small protrusion or a bit of wire to hang it from with a bit of clear gel(possibly hair gel but I am not sure how long that will last) and, if you really wanted to go all out, stain the skin with a fid of red food dye to represent when it burst out of the crew members chest.
