Alice in Wonderland WHITE QUEEN MACE WIP

Work is crazy and as my dad always told me, 'don't bite more than you can chew' and I am trying to get photos of everything I am working on at the moment. Including Sao Fengs Chart, Charlotte Bell among a few, and of course... THE MACE OF THE WHITE QUEEN!! Boom baby!!!

All wood! Of course a very rough start. I see the things that I need to hammer out and rework but this is it. [...] Its solid wood with a lot of carving. Next pictures will show it painted.

I am adding close ups of the Mace. The bulb is actually reversed. I guess the picture of the actual mace can be kind of deceiving if you dont see it right, but it actually has slivers that come out farther than the flat sides. I gotta do it again reversed.

The handle is going to be longer, and instead of drawing the handle design, I decided it would be better to carve it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Very cool! I can tell a lot of hard work has gone into this project. I'm working on the Red Queens Sceptre myself.

Really? Thats awesome! I was just looking for heart crystals to begin that one but I am thinking I might end up doing the Red Queens Mace instead.

Keep me posted! I would love to see your work

So this is the new and improved mace of the White Queen as displayed I believe at D23. The only thing that sucks about this prop is it wasnt really used in the film, nor the mace of the Red Queen. Either way, I think its a very cool prop.

The photo with two maces shows the first one I did, and the one below is the new one. It still has the wooden square from the wood turning. It will be painted of course, and maybe I might do an interest thread but I doubt that ONLY because it was not used in the film and I doubt anyone would really want one. haha :lol:lol

Finally painted. Still needs the little circles on the bulb part, and not identical, but I am happy with it.
