Advice sought on a purchase made in the Junkyard

Hello all,

I purchased a couple of resin kits from a member in the Junkyard on the 1st of September.
After waiting three weeks I emailed the seller asking imy items had been posted.
He told me he had been sick and was posting them out the next day, I got an email asking for my phone number which I gave him.
This was on September the 21st.

I pm'd him five times last week and got no reply.
I emailed at him again on Saturday and recieved a mail asking me what I needed - and then no reply again...
I don't know if I should use his name (he's been a member here since 2003) but I'm getting kind of pissed off now.
I paid for air mail shipping (4 to 10 days) and I've been waiting almost six weeks.
I paid via paypal, should I file a claim?

Communication is the key. There can always be situations with problems replying but 6 weeks is a long time. I don't know what the period for filing a claim is but I'd file.

I asked you to EMAIL me as I have been having some issues with trying to log in to my inbox here. I received your email on Friday I believe, and late at that. I do not usually respond until Mondays because of the weekend - I need time off too. :D

I sent the original order 4 weeks ago air mail - I sent a replacement last Thursday

Please let me know when it arrives.

I'm curious because you sent an email on the 21st of september stating that you had been ill for two weeks and that you hadn't managed to send my items.
This is copied from the email you sent me on the 21st of September ;

Thanks for posting my email - apparently you forgot to add the last couple of lines.

Since you seem more eager for an argument rather than a solution, I will leave this here and continue dealing with your pummeling (sp?) via email. :)
 
I've spoken to comm510 on the phone and everything is sorted to my satisfaction.
Obviously mistakes do happen from time to time -I now know this was a genuine mistake.

Just my two cents. Comm510 is about THE BEST guy to deal with in the prop world. I've dealt with him several times and have never been unhappy with his service. He's comitted to doing the VERY BEST job on ANYTHING that leaves his studio that he can. If you don't hear back from him on ANY issue, then rest assured that something BIG has happened with him. But beyond that, know that he'll ALWAYS come through.
Stand up guy. One of the best.
