Ordered some bandanas, some chain, dug through my coins and found some worthy of necklace charms and then utterly failed to find the solder I bought two days ago so didn't make any further progress. As for random, I still have not found trim lace I would be happy with for the tricorn. I do now have two tricorns base hats from the costume store. Ooooh and my bicorn came in today..... I will by all accounts have far too much fun with this hat.

Some progress on the nickel ring. I added the round image additions to both sides and an upper rim to the ring cup. The nickel seats close to surface now and I will begin the braided gold addition to the new ring ridge. Turquoise enamel will fill the gap when the coin is seated and I am adding the two v prongs over the ring edge before final painting and detailing. This one is meant for pose distance clarity only but I believe will suffice as a usable piece of jewelry as well.

So a bit of education for me on the heart necklace. The upper hanging bit is a sliding chain clip. The chain goes through it but does not bind and the inside is shaped to allow smooth passage of the chain which keeps the heart hanging at the lowest point. Not being much of a jewelry person, this was new to me.

I rebased the side images and believe the circle is now big enough to allow me to sculpt down to a passable buffalo image. It is usually covered by other fingers but I will try to keep my efforts within the realm of passable at 3 feet.

And on to the tricorn. I need some help with colors. I have only bad images of the Stand and Deliver tricorn. In one image it looks silver and gold with white showing through from beneath both. In another it seems clearly to be white and Yellow bands. Anyone have better intel on this hat?

i will order these tonight

All total, two of these and shipping and one nickel and shipping and one ring is about 15 dollars. Using dollar store nail polish for the turquoise enamel and gold nail polish for the remainder would bring this to about 17 dollars. Considering the craft time the ring at "buy it now" on ebay for 95 would simply be the decision of how much your time is worth and if you enjoy crafting. So, for me the decision is easy and I would choose to make one. Given the absence of these mini coins, it may not even be plausible if the persons artistic skill is not up to the task. I expect that just leaving the side images off might also be workable if you just need to make the large nickel show prominently.

It's gold and silver...not white;)
I was looking at the more commercial costume edging last night and I see why it pops yellow in some pictures. There is a large difference between true gold base color and parade gold top coat. This band of gold is the highly reflective version. It is made with a metallic mirror surface that is then stained with a thin top coat to a yellow gold. Highly reflective or likely called "bright" gold. The same flies for silver. There is the frosty color of slightly blue/green tinted chrome that is real unpolished silver but this mirror surface chrome version of parade silver gives off a full reflection and often looks white because, in contrast to its surroundings, it looks pure white.

The search for the white Stand and deliver vest is far less fruitful. I have found only one. It is faaaaar overpriced and still NOT 100% accurate. The Jacket Shop, online store, has this on the left for 450+ but still does not have the v cut at the bottom.

I thought it could just be flipped out at the belt but that is just too much space to be a fold angle.
