Actors who are Box Office Bombs

Isn't that part of the point?
If something is fun enough to do for a living, wouldn't you accept the offers that sound like a whale of a time?

Well, obviously they do it, but then why are they surprised when the movie and their career tanks. It's like a sports star getting millions to join a losing team and disappearing from the record.

No matter how good/bad the actor is, doesn't do any of the writitng, directing, editing, or marketing. Those things have a bigger impact on the box office than a single actor.

I was surprised to see Christian Bales list: The Machinist? Seriously? If you haven't seen it, you should! It is very creepy, and it is all bale. Prestige? Confusing, but not a bad movie.

It's funny, ever since the advent of the IMDB, I have gained enormous respect for the "unsung" actors of the business. Hundreds of faces I recognize from thousands of smaller but very important parts. If I were an actor, I would see this as the better career. None of crap that goes with the hightened fame.

Few to any of the current crop of "top star" actors will sway me to a movie on their name alone.

They're missing this guy-

He made so many bombs he should be considered a terrorist.

OK, quick rant on this: Click "More" to continue??!?

ON THE WEB?! This isn't freakin' column space, it's the Internet! You can scroll down for freakin ever! I have to not only click to advance your crappy frame each time, but then hit "more" to reveal 1/2 inch of more text?

God I hate the "magazinafication" of the Internet.

Yes I made it up.

Yeah. Instead of showing all 10 pics on one page you have to clickclickclick. But then they can have 10 pages of ads.

This list is absolute garbage. A lot of their so called "flops" are actually really good movies, a few even on the top 250 list.

All these actors have at least been in one true blockbuster or surprise breakout hit. You can argue whether said blockbuster was any good.

Now (without going to IMDB) can you tell me the name of your favorite Matthew Modine movie?

Wow! I mean what are the odds out of the whole internet that on this group would have among its members both of the people who saw Gross Anatomy?

but serioously is this anywhere in your top 100?

I hadn't seen that one and can think of 3 others off the top of my head but they are all awful movies.

Gross Anatomy

I was thinking the same thing.

No, but you asked for our favourite Modine film, and he was in it.

It was more of a Daphne Zuniga movie for me, but it does qualify.
