Accurate keyblade and masamune replicas?

Hey. I have a gift idea for my best friend and she is a big anime/disney fan. She has fallen in love with the Kingdom Hearts games, and her favorite level is the fight between Sora and Sephiroth. She has expressed interest in owning her own replicas of Sora's keyblade and Sephiroth's masamune nodachi, so as a suprise I'm going to buy her replicas of these pieces.

However, the ones I've seen on ebay and otehr sites are either inaccurate or are in places that dont ship to the U.S. and dont accept anything other than paypal, which I cant use myself. So Im wondering if you guys could help me find accurate replicas of the keyblade and masamune that are within the U.S., payable with U.S. dollars, and cheap enough not to break my wallet with one purchase.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Don't do it man! Unrequited love sucks, don't feed the flames!
I know you won't do it (I know, I've been there myself), but listen our friend Jumpin Jax here...
Anyway... Most of the replicas I've seen are the chinese ones seen online, but I'm sure it's possible to find these in a shop or something...

I agree... dont fall into this horrible hole. I'm actually in one and currently trying to dig myself out...

I bought a girl I like a Motoko costume from Ghost in the Shell because she's going to Otacon and couldn't afford it (cost me $100 bucks and a lot of back and forth communication from a Hong Kong ebay dealer). I also worked on the Seburo M-5 to accompany the costume (which I asked for paint advice in the General Modeling section), so that ate up a significant amount of funds for sandpaper and spraypaint, not to mention around more than a month of time spent working on the piece.

I justified the purchases by saying that it was a birthday present (her birthday was last week).

The awesome thing is that she actually does really like me and we probably would be together BUT she lives two states away, so I barely get to see her because she works in the evenings and on the weekends (we had a LONG discussion about how a long distance relationship probably wouldnt work out). The last time I saw her was actually in January (I also have a story about going way out of my way to buy her a Wii that Christmas when it was nigh impossible to find...)

:cry

Thanks for the help, though Im intending these as mainly a present for a friend. I wasnt expecting to get lectured about it... :unsure And dont try to convince me otherwise on the choices (and promises) I make in my life.

Just letting you know.

Thanks anyway.

Yeah guys, He was asking for help finding the props not to find Dr Phil's.

Can anyone help this guy or are we all just psychotherapists here?

Good Luck.

Brad

You should try at Cosplay.com if you havent already. Making your own keyblade is fairly easy, I made one my buddy's birthday a while back. All you need is some MDF, PVC, A dremel, and some paint. Good luck!

Well, you also can't really blame anyone for adding their 2 cents, since the OP basically INVITED the advice, with the inclusion of his parenthetical statement at the beginning of the post. Had he omitted that part, no one would've said boo to him about it...

I'm not saying, I'm just saying. *shrugs*

Thanks for that link. Found a girl there who might be a great help with the masamune.

I edited my first post since it unintentionally created some off topic posts. Sorry 'bout that... thats just usually how I describe what the two of us have: I love my best friend, who thinks of me as one of her best friends, though doesnt have any romantic feelings for me... yet (her friends and others have hinted that she may deny any feelings that she might have for me because shes still kind of attached to someone she dated years ago.. but hey, lets not get off topic again.)
