AA case begins

if it has been said that Lucas looked the other way for trooper armor or didn't do all he could to support/protect his trademark on it, etc.

The beauty of being the Copyright owner you can choose to ignore or choose to pursue anyone you desire without any real legal ramifications or lose of Copyright... Your Copyright ownership is not taken away because you ignored infringements, it's your choice to do with it what you want...

Trademark is a different story, you 'can' (if challenged) lose the rights to your trademark if you can't show an active pursuit of violators over time... Again it doesn't mean you have to be 100% diligent in the pursuit and sue everyone, it just means you have to take a proactive stance if you want to remain in control of the Trademark... Basically you can't all the sudden single out a target after you have 'totally' neglected all others over the years, or you might have to defend your rights to ownership of the Trademark... That is the reason for all the C&D letters studios send it leaves a very clear paper trail that shows they are diligent and active in protecting their IP rights...

I like the episode where Dr. Mantaray left the scalpel in Doris when he closed her up. We need to see how the story plays out here. Toss him down an elevator shaft, like they did on "Friends" is what I say!

I'm thinking that AA will stand up in court and shoot the LFL attorney. Then everyone will wake up.

Curse you and your vagueness, Gonk! Currrse yoooooooooouuuuu! (This is like the "...To Be Continued" at the end of a good show!)

:lol

If I knew any more than that I'd spill the beans honest! this info's from someone involved, who obviously isn't allowed to go into details yet either.

Well if AA loses this case I am interested in hearing all the theories the AA supporters try to claim to deny his loss. Believe me if he wins I will gladly eat my crow. But I really doubt it.

Well if he loses then we'll see why...and it will be a question of the evidence and also of the judicial process itself...hopefully either way very enlightening.

I found this quote on a story about this:

Ainsworth says he's got a claim on the copyright: "As far as I am concerned, I am the original maker and I'm using the original moulds," he told the Guardian.

If they can prove that he isn't using the original moulds, would that be another nail in the coffin for him or does it really matter?

Pat

Yes it matters and it would be a nail but then the burden of proof is on LFL to show they are not and what was used instead, whereas AA claims to be able to show that they are the original molds. There's no question I think about who made the props for the production, but what the molds are is key as AA claims they are an original creative design.

I can't believe anyone still believes he has the original molds...

In regards to the trooper face plate, a big maybe as for the rest of his items/parts I highly suspect not...
