A-Wing - Studio Prototype

I've always loved the A-Wing but never felt like I could build the studio scale one - just too damn big and curvy. However, perfect storm of John Simmons build of the prototype, mixed with a ROTJ theme build for Wonderfest this year, plus seeing new BTS photos of the SSD trench - a sudden urge to build hit me. My previous builds have sometimes taken years to complete. With the WF deadline looming, I ended up pushing this one out in four months. I'll admit its rushed in some spots (specifically the paint job) - but it was totally worth it.

I should have mentioned...
Even though prototype and the studio model are much different scales, I wanted to capture the final studio models details and earmarks into my prototype. Most of the greeblies I used will bear a resemblance to the studio scale model AND all the greeblies I used were from ROTJ donor kits.

if i see this correctly
any 1/48 F-14 two times, for the main hull
hasegawa 1/48 F-16 two times, for the small engines fuselage and the main engines, one canopy
any 1/48 F-15 one time, for the rear cockpit fuselage

the final A-wing is then 1/48? roughly 200 bucks for the "big parts"

Both are the 1/32 Tamiya kits I believe.
