Pictures say a thousand words, so when I run across a thread with multiple pics which have been made unavailable for a number of different reasons, I get annoyed. I thought about what could be done to fix this problem and I came up with a plausable solution.
- use the forum as a server to allow people to upload their own images. Once uploaded, they can be linked into text similar to the way third party pics currently are linked.
This would keep the images on the RPF's database and would be much less likely to be lost. I was all gun-ho to use the "Manage Attachments" option under the advanced settings but the size of the alloted files were pathetic. Since the images uploaded through the "manage Attachments" are not inline, would they be able to be increased to allow for easier uploading of larger sized pictures. It would decrease loading time and increase the organization of a thread.
The real question is; is the RPF's database large enough to host larger sized images without running into problems?
