A monster planet that devours everything in its path!

The transformer fangirl in me won't stop squeeing. This is phenomenal! The attention to detail just using the artwork is just mind boggling!

You definitely should consider taking this to the next Botcon and entering it in the art contest!

Ohhh boy. So you are going for a full body on this thing? Crazy! (but in a good way). Unicron as I recall had some pretty good girth on him. This is certainly not going to be a small build by any stretch.

If you wanted to, you could turn the whole figure into a bit of a diorama with Decepticon jets buzzing around spots like flies. If you put him on a display base, a section of Cybertron might be perfect (which could allow for a more dramatic pose).

Hi all. I am Colin1972's wife.
I'm not sure if you guys are aware or not, but sadly Colin passed away 6 weeks ago :(
I just thought I would pop by & let you know, just in case any of you were wondering why he wasn't posting anymore
Take care

Wow, I am very sorry to hear that as he certainly had some excellent talent. Granted I only know of one aspect of his life from the creations he shared with us, but he seemed like a very good person. I know I will miss him because of what he shared with us, but probably not as much as you and his immediate family will. Thanks for letting us know.

Yes, we all miss him so very much. He was such a lovely, kind, generous man who always put others before himself.
Colin became ill with a "chest infection" just before Xmas last year. I called an ambulance late 27th Dec as he was hardly breathing. We were told within an hour that he had cancer in his lungs. He was sent to Royal Marsden in Sutton where we were told the cancer was in lots of other places too. He had 3 months of chemo. Sadly the cancer went to his brain and after 20 shots of radiotherapy, we were told nothing else could be done. We were sent home on 21st June, we married at home on 24th June and Colin passed away in my arms on 19th July.
I miss him so very very much :(

Damn I didn't even know he was sick. We'd always talk about Transformers stuff and his giant Optimus Prime. I'm sorry to hear this happened.

I have been trying to contact as many people/forums as possible who I knew he "chatted" with. It was only when an email from this group pinged in his inbox saying he hadnt posted for a while that I realised he posted in here. I didn't want to post in his name, so had to make my own account.
Colin suffered chronic neuropathy (numbness in hands & feet) which is a side effect of the chemo, so he wasn't able to use a keyboard very well, and then not at all some weeks before he died, which is why he suddenly stopped posting x

Wow, Im sorry for your loss Mrs M. Colin had some amazing talent, which Im sure you were well aware of. Although I didnt know him personally, he came off as a great guy who loved building transformers. His Optimus Prime build was amazing. He will be missed!

Not being a big Transformers fan, I was not aware of Colin's amazing work. I heard of his passing in a different area of this board.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

BIG thanks for the condolance messages guys x Thanks for the pic MirrorminD - I saw that (& others like it) on another forum, but it wouldn't let me download them. I managed to download this one okay :)
Yes his OP was fantastic, as was his R2D2 and Ravage. He has left behind his last project, Unicron, which I will treasure for always x

Colin also had a photobucket account where he use to upload all of his project photos. Unfortunately its password protected but heres the link to it, if you know the password.

Login to a private Photobucket.com album

Do you know if he kept all passwords in a notebook or something? I write down all my passwords for ebay, Paypal, Bank, all forums, etc... in a notebook and lock it in our fire safe. I told my wife if anything sudden happens to me, she can access ebay to refund money to customers or paypal to transfer money to our bank account so it is not tied up. You don't want to think about these things happening, but they do and sometimes you cannot tie up loose ends. Perhaps he left that password and you can access all his cherrished photos.
