A few pics of my completed Sandtrooper!!

Just finished assembly on the mannequin and the weathering and thought I'd share. The helmet is an AP, the armor is GT as is the pauldron, the backpack is a home made, the boots are Cheng, the hip pouches are real MP-40 vintage mag. pouches that I re-conditioned,the shoulder is a replica and the gun is a real MG-34. I tried to replicate the "Move Along" trooper as best I could....the chest weathering pattern is key, but I didn't nail it after several tries unfortunately....I may take another stab at it someday, but for now I'll call him done.

Enjoy!:)

Well done! What mannequin did you use?

Thanks! The mannequin was an ebay one....the sellers username is "finemannequinscom" . I think the particular one was called "SN2". I made no mods. to the mannequin other than sanding down the high spots on the arms to slide the biceps & forearms on since I glued them together long ago.

Glad you like him:)

Indeed. :)

I've grown more and more partial to the Sandtroopers and hope to have one of my own in the near future.

Never understood the fascination with the sandtroopers... guess I'm a clean trooper guy... but hey... that really looks great. Is that the "Look Sir, Droids" pose? :)

see now that makes me sad, seeing something beautiful like that and knowing you dont wear your costumes in public anymore. sigh. at least you showed us so we can appreciate it!
