A Display Case for a Fedora?

Has anyone ever displayed a fedora in a protective case? I am looking for a nice display case that won't break the bank and would be close in size. Thanks in advance!

The best way to store a fedora is on an appropriately-sized mannequin head. Anything from a cheap styrofoam wig form to a high-end head would help it keep its shape much better than laying it flat. You could then get a big clear box made from acrylic or whatever to protect it.

Yeah, custom display cases can get expensice - the mannequin head would be a cost effective way to display the hat - it's what I do. I bought a male styrofoam head and painted it flat black. You could even add some black flocking to it to make it look even nicer. Add an 'Indy' style logo plaque at the base of the head and you got yourself a fine looking hat display!

You could buy a Styrofoam head and cut it in half so that a half inch (or less) only shows under the brim to keep the hat in shape without looking anachronistically unappealing. Then mount that on a wooden helmet stand (used for displaying medieval helmets).

The styrofoam that peeks out the bottom could be covered in black cloth.
