So, a year or so ago, Matsuo made me what I consider to be one of the NICEST PULSE RIFLES ON THE PLANET. All real steel, no fake parts, aluminized resin shrouds, parkerized to match. Here she is.
Nice, no? To boot, this was NOT an easy build, and Matt did some extra work on this to make sure it all stayed in one piece. So, what did I do with it? SOLD IT. thumbsdownthumbsdown :confused
Well, here's the deal. Something came up I just couldn't refuse. Price was good, time was right, all I needed was the money. I came up with a plan to sell - fortunately I was able to sell to a friend. (a GOOD friend). This friend lives within a few hours of me, so I can still visit the pulse on special occasions. SO although I don't own it anymore, I don't feel like I've lost the enjoyment of it.
And here's what she went for: Starship Troopers armor - A - grade, worn by Dina Meyer. All parts are [to the best of my knowledge] from the same suit. It's an unusual suit, as it has a combination of armor sizes, and is missing grenade pouches. This is from the set used on "Big K" and the oddness of the parts is due to the fact that this set was worn with the comm pack - which I unfortunately don't have. I also didn't get the hero helmet...which was sold earlier (and was beyond my means, anyway). Anyway, SST is one of my favorite movies of all times, and this suit was worn by one of the leads...and the best looking one, IMHO! A few of the items are signed by Dina, and all are consistently marked for production as a Dizzy Flores suit.
The display is not final - I just tossed it on a mannequin - and the hands and a few other things aren't done. Also, this is just a messy corner of my messy prop / bike / gun workshop room. Will have to work out a proper display later.
Oh, and I know that the scabbard is on the wrong leg...I put it on that side because it just displays a little better.
Any suggestions for a display would be appreciated!
Thanks for looking...

PS - there is one more screen-used prop floating around in the pictures of the SST suit. The first person who correctly identifies it (item, and the movie it is from) gets a free Weyland-Yutani die cut sticker, courtesy of ME. :cool
