A Christmas Story 2

A Christmas Story called "a timeless classic?" I had never heard of this movie before until about 6 years ago when they started pushing it on TV every year claiming it was a "classic" movie AND the unfortunate marketing push for merchandise began shortly afterwards. Christmas junk being sold at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target only to end up on the Clearance shelves.

Now they are trying to push yet an "official sequel?" Sometimes I wonder about who is behind the business hoping to eek out maybe $100 million dollars out of the direct to Blu-Ray and merchandising. Hopefully to earn another title of "yet another timeless classic" in about 10-15 years.

Oh brother......rant over!

You want timeless classics try It's A Wonderful Life!!!
Its not actually a sequel. It is the 4th move in the JS body of works... but this one doesn't have any of the Shep works incorporated into it other than the leg lamp, and the main characters.

The wife just made me sit through this load of crap because she thought it "looked cute."
This movie made Jingle All the Way look like an Oscar worthy masterpiece...

I'm in my early 30s, LOVE A Christmas Story. Though I'm not old enough to experience Christmas in the 30s/40s, my family always had similar traditions for Christmas.

I watched the preview for ACS 2. I died a little inside. I mean, they recycled half of the funny moments from the first movie, without capturing any of the essence of what made them funny.
