i first saw this film when i was a vey young kid, and used to play in the garden weaing a sheet instead of the relatively crappy bought dress - up suits (!!!), and up until now i had no idea the suit was THAT complicated.
sure, i knew it must have been heavy - i mean let's face it, the cowl looked especially chunky - but i think that micheal keaton deserves a medal for doing such a good job.
the cape does look fantasic on screen, and even though the batman begins/dark knight cape looks like the flowy cape of the comics (i love the image in batman begins where he's on a drainpipe in the norrows - classic batman), i felt that the scallops were hard to see, like when bale/batman is fighting, you don't get the sort of imagary like in the cathedral fight in keaton/batman.
