Frankly, I'm quite happy with Monkey Island remaining a game. And it's STILL a good game today. The remakes are terrific, too. So, yeah, it's irritating to not see credit go where it's due, but at the same time, I can live with Pirates being its own thing and Monkey Island remaining largely untouched.

Let's not forget that Cameron ripped himself off in the film too. Aliens and The Abyss were two that came clearly to mind when I saw it.
