New question….
I got an elegoo Saturn & poked a hole in the fep film. I need to replace the protective film & tape over the lcd screen.
Looks like the film could be replaced with a clean piece of fep film with thin electrical tape - am I on the right track?
I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly, but you can't use electrical tape on the FEP because it will block the light. I don't have a Saturn but why would you want to tape over the LCD screen?
Perhaps that may work. I'm wondering why the manufacturers don't do that themselves. Maybe it's like when you get a smart phone you can't get a screen protector from the manufacturer but have to buy one from a third party.
You may want to test if curing is affected. Could an extra layer of clear plastic affect the transmission of the light?
