3d Printed Minigun Replica

Where did you get the stl files? A friend of mine is building a batmobile and would like to put two of these on it. I was going to start designing one from scratch but if I can download/print that would save time :)

I made the STL files myself. I modeled the entire gun from scratch in Spaceclaim (similar to Solidworks) I haven't decided if I want to make the files available for sale yet. I did sell just the receiver CAD model to someone for 800.00 I probably won't sell any more CAD files but I might possibly consider selling the ready to print STL's. Not sure yet.

watsonstudios I hear ya. I ended up doing something from scratch and it's currently a WIP but it amounts to some simple wheels and a gear system and using PVC pipes and wooden dowels.

I would be interested in purchasing the files for the barrels and barrel clamp. I dont care if they're cad or stl as long as i can retrieve accurate dimensions. Ill even take pdf with 1:1 scale orthographic views if that's easier for you?

Hey bro i saw these minigun it is amazing i want to model one for my own do you have any blueprints and dimensions for refrence

It's been a while since I updated this post but I have some progress on this particular project. I've modeled and added new parts recently including a naval mount system and spade grips. Over the years I've been updating and refining the model and also incorporated resin printing some parts for higher detail. Here is a few shots of the updated minigun and where it's at today.

I have loved the progression on this, beautiful work. There might be things you nitpick on, but it looks indistinguishable to me, right down to the hardware and finishes. Bravo!

Thanks! Yes, I am quite detail oriented and I'm disappointed that I couldn't use the proper bolts on the yolk because the holes were originally 1/4-20 threads and the correct 12 point aircraft bolts are 1/4-28 threads. I do have the proper bolts on the front of the motor.
