Here’s some shots of my first prop build of the AndersFP on thingiverse. PKD-2019 Blade Runner blaster. by AndersFP
This is the best model I’ve seen on there so I gave it a shot and I’m very happy with the results so far. I sanded and primed all the parts, cast the grips in resin from my own mould and the lights are all wired up.

I also got my dad to fire up his lathe and machine me a nice barrel in stainless steel.

A couple of small bits to do and a bit of weathering I think.

Looks very good! I was wondering what is the silver/gunmetal paint you painted it with. Im also working on the same model just not sure on the color. Thank's. Keep up the good work. Really nice JOB
I used AK metal Fx paints, but they’re not all that good at staying on the plastic, a few people have also had issues with adherence so I think I need to do a few tests next time. I tinted the colour with an acrylic wash from games workshop sprayed over with my airbrush to tone it down a bit form the aluminium type finish.

Unfortunately the colour has faded from the grips even though it’s been kept in a box in the dark :( they’ve gone a bit salmon pink - anyone else had this and know a product that won’t fade so quickly? I used epoxy with an alcohol based pigment.

One of our RPFer used a Sharpie (reddish one) to add the color to the grips. Your mileage might differ with other tints of course.
