2nd Lighted Moebius Galactica ---DONE---

Hi guys, I'm starting a 2nd lighted Galactica ,not for me but for a friend of mine. It wont be as elaborate as mine but worth the build. In this one I'm only lighting the engines and the landing bays. And I'm using the left over turrets from the photo etch set from my last build The only other than stock item will be a Acreation Armor decal sheet after its painted.

The 1st one i did took about 2weeks but it had more lights in it and more detail. I you see the original post( Lighted Moebius Galactica) it shows you the components . thanks

Damn, dude. Are you opening up your own Scorpion Fleet Shipyards??? I don't even have my first one yet. Now I have to drool over these pics, too.

Since theirs no lights in the head piece of this one, got it primed,painted and weathered today. I also started the landing bays painted and ready for inside decals.I also drilled the hole for the wire for the lights.

Got all the parts together and some painted, about all i can do now is weather some parts and wait for the leds to come in the mail.

Well i weathered the top and bottom and made a piece to mount the 2 mid engines lights in.Cant do any more until i get the leds in. FYI I posted a video of my weathering technique in the original post for lighted galactica.

Good thing my leds came in today just as i needed them-prefect timing. Did a lot today, painted every thing left and weathered much of it,and got the leds all installed .I took a lot of pictures of how i lit the landing bays on this one it was easier to control the light in this one because there was no ribs to work around so i did the lights a little differently than the last one. Notice how i drilled holes to run the wiring .

All the parts are attached i should have the Acreation decal set tomorrow than i can decal the retraction bays and than button it up. I also start the detail painting tomorrow too.

out of curiosity, are these panel decals that you have semi-clear? They looked fantastic on your first galactica. But it was more like an enhancement than simply decals.

They are a little translucent but not by much The color i used seams to work well with it.

Detail painting done. But no decal sheet today so I'm at a stand still until it comes in. And that's all that theirs left to do, cant put the arms on and close it up until i can put the decals on in the retraction areas.

I was really hoping for the decals would have come in today, they didn't so at this point waiting for them. So I'm in a holding pattern.

I'm back in business my Acreation decals came in today.
