I totally thought Obi was going to arm everyone with those lightsabers as a sort of "last stand" moment.

Does anyone have any clear photos of the belt hangers from the series? Not from the celebration display. Thanks!
Some screenshots I took, not the best but maybe we can get some use from them
I can't tell what they are using during the battle, Anakin especially, but Obi Wan's seems.... properly sized
and as for the lightsabers in the box..
And yes... they accidentally used the "crushed" holoprojector before it was crushed

They changed it to a whole graflex. (Well, Master Replicas) I agree, if you're going to switch from the skinnyflex to that... I don't understand why they didn't do that for both of them

Also, it still seems weird why they put that gold switch on the ROTS Anakin saber.Basically Obi Wan modified Anakins lightsaber but never touched his own??
Don't get me wrong I love the PT sabers, but there should have been some sort of continuity from the prop builders when producing the ROTS props. I think that's why some build their ROTS Anakin and Obi Sabers out of a graflex and a standard Obi Wan. That's what I did.

I thought it would be good if obi wan used it in his exile as well as his own so that way they could say parts fell off that needed replacing maybe after getting knocked about on a few entanglements and the chrome could have been tarnished by a sandstorm, or maybe he would change pieces so the saber wouldn't remind him so much of Anakin.

do you think it's a stunt one? or also a hero metal?
I'm not sure, if anyone else agrees that pommel looks wider than anything else we've seen I won't feel as crazy.

I'm interested ion following this, as well. I would love to know if it's a stunt one.
I think it was just because (as of yet) the Graflex wasn't going to be fought with, but Kenobi's was. Ewan would've probably been much more comfortable wielding the EpIII saber that he was used to.
Just my thoughts anyways.
My understanding is they made the prequel lightsabers a smaller diameter to make the dueling more comfortable for the actors. I agree with Usagi Pilgrim, the Graflex wasn't even really going to be used... except for a quick shot to make Geeks go crazy. The other sabers needed to be more practical.
