2010 Star Lord comic Cosplay

I've Been planing this cosplay ever since Ultimate Marvel vs Copcom came out, and now that the movie is coming out this year I must finish before then.

Here are some picks of the helmet I've been working on. I have most of the costume done but no pics of it yet sadly.





This was after my second cast and i had just finshed cutting out the eye holes

I've got a lot of cleaning up to do on it but its still to cold to work out side here in New York

Nice helmet! Is the faceplate removable while you wear it?

I'd like to make it that way but I don't know how its all going to fit together till I finish cleaning it up. but the fave plat and helmet were molded separate.

I've completed my battle damaged helmet as a test to see how i could do the lighting for the real one. Before i post the pictures of it i thought I'd talk a little about my design. For those of you who've read the 2008 - 2010 Guardians of the Galaxy you may have notice that between issues 7 and 8 Star Lord's helmet changed from this style

to this style

and has changed slightly with each issue and artiest. I've based mine off the second style taking things I like from various issues.

So this might be a dumb question, but what did you make your helmet/mask out of and how did you go about creating it? This is the Star Lord I am attempting to make myself.

I really dig the lighting in the mouth grill. I have some EL wire laying around and had thought about doing that myself.

Sorry it's been a while. got some new pics sadly i still haven't finished 100% but its wearable at least.

sadly in this first one the wire came loose so the lights weren't on
