here are a few shots of the final lighting tests on the one man space pod I lit with white LED's
I scratch built the interior to duplicate the accurate look found in the movie 2001.
spent the day wiring up the out side lights while watching the baby.he thinks its cool too.
just about ready to seal it up and paint
then its on to timeslipcreations discovery.
what is with that pod door Hal?

Looks great., I love lighting. :thumbsup

I think that lighting gives the model life.

What did you use to light the interior? Lightsheet or LED's? Also, how would you rate the kit, I have a friend who has been eyeing :eek it for a while.

Great job, post some pics when it is done, I would love to see it. :)

When you say you scratchbuilt the interior, do you mean everything inside?
or just some parts - ? I thought that Scott's kit came with a fairly accurate
interior including color transparencies for the instrument panels. Is that
not right?

The cockpit looks fantastic. Solid progress so far... keep it up. :thumbsup

The interior is not completely accurate. I did this kit years ago and was only able to figure out the interior to the point that looking in the window would give you the impression the interior was correct. Since then, others have made a more accurate evaluation of the interior and published plans.

I think the way to think of my kit is, it looks accurate from the outside, but if you want to open it up and really make a comparison, its going to be lacking.

That kit is just fantastic, it not only looks like the studio model but also the full sized prop. The lighting on it looks awesome.

Very inspiring indeed.. Iam thinking the lights in the front of the model are lit with the Led's? If so where did you hide the power source and how did you hide the wiring?

Michael

Thanks for the explanation re the interior, Scott.

Has anyone tried using the Vodoofx lighting kit for this pod?

I should have already said that your build looks fantastic, mr.predicta.
