Hello RPF'ers. It is finally time for us to host a formal run of our 2/3rd Astromech. I know I have been asked many times over the last couple years when we were going to be able to do this, and the time has come. We had been holding out until we could get these parts dialed in, as well as offer those of you who wanted them as close to a full kit as possible.

Please let me know what questions you may have, I will be happy to offer what I can.

(There are several images of our droids and the build if you want to visit the the thread you can access it here: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=134186)

Here is a snap shot of our final build:

Here are a few things of note. We do provide a PVC body with this kit. It is NOT scribed. We have used a router to work the skin on ours, but there are also some options in which you can use a styrene scribed skin around the PVC, or build a Styrene body from scratch. You can find many details on doing this via the Astromech.net forum, and R2builders club. The folks over there have been incredibly helpful in assisting us in our build.

Below is an image of all the resin parts we offer. The upmost care has been taken to make sure these are accurate, and of the highest quality. I will post more images of these items on our build thread if you would like to see them check here http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=134186

The following is a part identifier for our resin kit.

I have identified 90% of the individual parts you will find in this kit. If you intend to purchase a dome kit, or the legs/feet kit, you can see those identified below. Also as a note, you do not see a center leg/foot but it is included with either the full kit or the leg/foot kit.

(*Note: All the detailed astromech images below were taken from Astromech.net provided to all members. These images are not being sold, or used for anything other than reference for this project)

There are a few other bits that are NOT provided in this kit which I wanted to mention, and they are as follows:

The following are NOT included in the kit:

1. Data Port
2. Holo Projector Base (for our builds we use Chrome Sink Hose Guide. I buy mine at Ace Hardware down the street, so if you have an Ace check them out. they run about $4.85 each. otherwise you can buy them from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Danco-9D00086948-Spray-Guide-Chrome/dp/B000PSA9YY)
3. All electronics (we don't include any electronics with our kit. but again, you can find all the details you need from the builder site, and we are certainly happy to help you with that.)
4. Lazy Susan: (we purchase them from Rockler for around $15, they have several sizes, including the 12" for this kit)
5. Battery Boxes: (These have not been roto-cast yet, but we have plans to do this in the future. For now these would have to be scratch built for your project)
6. Casters:
7. Internal structure/hardware: There are items needed when constructing your droid; plywood rings, PVC support for the legs, etc. Again, we are more than happy to provide you reference, and advice as to where to find parts and you can view our thread to help you assemble.
8. internal vent detail: On the front two vents we provide the outer portion of the vent, but the internal detail will have to be made. It is a fairly simple process and styrene works very well.

Thank you all in advance!

Amazing work, The skins are the hardest part to get looking right, if you are hand cutting them getting the angles is not easy.

Good luck with the sale.s

Thank you much. I am working with Sofaking to help with the skins. He has a laser cutter and I am hoping to do a run of styrene skins with him, it sure would make it easier.

Want a full kit in the worst way. It being Christmas, funds are low. Have to save.
Hope there will be another run.

I put this down as a limited run, but in all reality we are going to make them available to those that want them in the future when ever they can/want them. The reason for the limited run this go around was due to the orders we already had, and the holidays coming up. Both my dad and I are traveling now, so we didn't want to take orders and have people waiting.

so no worries, please PM me when you are ready and we will get you sorted out.

Hello, do you all have any dome kits available? I'm making an identical size droid but have been challenged by finding the right dome for the droid. Need to be 12" wide. Let me know, thanks!
