1984 Stantz Project - Proton Pack WIP

Hey everyone!

I wanted to make a post about a project I've got going. Im working on making a Ghostbusters Full Suit based on Ray Stantz in the 1984 Ghostbusters. The goal is to replicate the Props and Costume based on how it looked in 1984 (With some minor updates).

Here is the model Im working on of the Proton Pack. The goal is to 3D print it and then coat it in resin to give it that rough fiberglass casting look like the originals had.

Added a Motherboard that will get some tweaking as I go along. And here you can see the WIP Bumper. What a fun part to model!

Hey gang! Just had to show off my progress today! Here’s my 99% printed ion arm. The only thing not modeled and printed by me were the M3 bolts and the tubes. I’m really happy with the progress! What do you guys think?

Keeping up with the minor differences in the ‘84 packs, I modeled a bent bellows for the Ion Knob.

I actually lessened the curve a bit before printing, but youget the idea! Lol

This is an amazing technique for texturing! I might have to give this a try on one of my future pack builds!

So glad my Bumper file fits on the bed in one piece! (technically two pieces, Im splitting it in half to simulate the mould seam and to cut out the need for support. )
