1981 Marvin the Paranoid Android

Has no one ever made their own version of Marvin from 1981?
I can find no costumes and precious few reference pictures or drawings.

How would I go about getting more information so I can become the Paranoid Android?

Easiest and cheapest way would be to buy the box set on dvd. Then you can put it in your pc and freeze any frame you like. Looks like a real easy pepakura build to me. Alot easier than the movie marvin.

I tried making this costume a few years ago and I got as far as the legs, hip and torso and ended up having to toss it out when I moved. I wish I could have finished it.

In the god awful movie a few years back, they used the original suit as an extra/Easter egg. I believe its in the DMV-esque line scene. You might want to check YouTube, or some other video website, as if I remember correctly there are some very clear back shots. I have the original series on VHS, but the image quality is fairly poor, the DVD boxed set may be better, but sadly I cannot say for certain. Good luck!
