I am in the process of purchasing one of these in great condition. I am curious to see if anyone has seen one of these sell in recent history. Any ideas on value.

Thanx CHris

If I am not mistaken some stunts in the last couple of years went for 7 to 10 thou if I remember correctly.

The big thing is if its a white blaser or regular black one from galactica 1980 versus the original show. Years back one sold via sothebys auction of planet hollywood items for like 3800. A profiles auction sold a galactica 1980 black one and a white one for not that much less than 1500 each or so i think years back. I have always wanted one of these but if you want to tell me more about its origin and some pictures I would be curious to see. moviepropking has a rubber one, another collector has one, and one online bidder from a past profiles auction that one a cylon costume has one too I think among others.

The source, I have aquired many items over the years that are unquestionable. Is there something about his piece that puts up some flags?

Hey Chris,

Not exactly recent but here are a couple from back in 2003

THanx for the info. I am considering putting it up for sale and that gives me a good basis. That is also the ballpark I thought it would be in.

Is it just wear and the lighting, or is that a gunmetal wash on it? I'm not aware of such being applied to the originals.

So hard to tell nowadays... If it doesn't come from the maker, or a reputable auction site, it's hard to know if it truly is screen used.

Well there are so many variants of this of Blaster.

Much like ST6 phasers, The ride used some fan made copies of original guns. Coyles I believe.

I know of at least four fan copies, then a couple of reverse engineered versions (I did one of those).

Then the urban legend, vac-formed "originals".

The foam ones.

etc.

Hard to tell where the truth lies.
