Hello
Here goes another movie car from my collection. This Chevelle was built like the car that was seen in the movie "Transit" from 2012 with Jim Caviezel. The movie is not a must-see, but the Chevelle is a must-have for me as it is pretty much bad to the bone. It was driven by the bad guys and thankfully not totaled in the movie. It was a blast to build as it is done up pretty simple without all the usual chrome trim and stuff like that. I only needed to make the big cowl on the hood, remove the fender trim, fit some other wheels to the chassis and go crazy on the engine with some serious upgrades in horsepower.
It is not 100% correct compared to the movie car. The satin paint is not flat enough and the engine is bit too much. But at least it fills out the big space under the huge hood...:rolleyes Oh, and the Nascar-style exhaust can be seen as artistic freedom.
Here are the pics.
Some bits and pieces in the engine bay are still missing as the model will later be modified with better detailed selfmade resin headlights and a selfmade photo-etched grille. The parts are still under construction and I didn´t want the Chevelle to look half way done in the meantime. So I finished her provisionally.
Hope you like it, even though it has some inaccuracies...:rolleyes
Cheers
Kevin
