1912 Grail Diary 1:1 replica

This is my version of the 1912 grail diary. As seen in the Lucasfilm archives book.
11x17x2cm are my specs as based on the archives specs. I designed and had the embossing tool made. I hand dyed the calf leather to match as close as possible to the diary pictured in the Lucasfilm book.

This is the results. I made the cover which I bound to a wonderful version of the diary made by sarednab.

Here is a side by side with the picture in the archives book.
There are the obvious differences but I feel it came out looking pretty close. If you compare the leather is almost identical.

Here is the stamp on a b prop style cover. I have drawn this stamp countless times over the past year and a half. Primarily looking at the photos available that show the stamp. This one I recently had made is very close, at least to my eyes. Below is a comparison pic. Real b prop diary on left and my cover on right. I inverted the b prop image (from propstote auction photos) to better compare with mine.

Well to date, no one has made a more picture accurate 1912 diary. I also made a very SA hero cover. (Inside is a Magnoli hero diary)My stamp is as SA as it gets. I even learned how they made the hero stamp on back look like it was gold foiled. I would be glad to share how to do this with anyone. I’ll share the file. Just send me a pm.
