Is that anime worth a watch? I've never seen it but if its similar to Firefly I might be interested.

Outlaw Star is actually a rip off of Firefly. Frakkin Japanese figured out time travel and went back to create the anime before Joss could get Firefly aired, hoping to cash in first... they didn't figure on Fox sending an executive to cancel them first and preserve the time line.

This seems kinda old, actually. Also, if Joss has the rights to continue the story, why's he keep doing BACK story and stuff that happened between the episodes? Start doing "Season 2" a la the "Season 8" comics for Buffy.
