14" Jack Sparrow Figure

Just an FYI for all you Pirate collectors out there, the Disney Store has marked all their 14" Pirates Figures down to $14.99. These are the big, super realistic figures that look like they could step out of the movie screen...they look fantastic. I picked up Jack and Davey Jones last night here in NC. They are gonna look great next to my Pirates prop display when I finish it.

Mods, feel free to move this if there is somewhere more appropriate.

I think ive seen the Davy Jones...is that the big one in the huge box with sound? Any pictures of these?

Yes, it's the huge one with sound. The sound button is cleverly hidden in one of his coat buttons...it took me 15 minutes to find it. Here's the best pic I have of him...that's a 1:1 pirate coin by his foot for size reference. His hat, compass, pistol and sword are removable.

whoa, wow, never saw the Jack. Even the Davy Jones i couldnt get the sound to work, couldnt figure it out damn thats big.

There is a Disney Store in the Four Seasons Mall in Greensboro, NC. Hope that helps. I haven't been there in a month or so, but last time I was they did have that figure

The Jack looks great. I have not been able to find him at the stores. I see Davey Jones out the butt but no Jack.

The NECA 18-inch Jacks are quite nice, only problem is, they don't make a LARGE Davy Jones -- NECA largest Davy is 12"

The Disney figures are actually 15 inches, I think -- I tried to pair the DIsney Davy Jones with my NECA 18-inch jack, and he was short enough in comparison, that I ended up getting the Disney 15-inch Jack (on sale) so I could display them side by side.

I have the NECA 18-inch Jack, the NECA 12-inch Jack and Davy, and the DISNEY 15-inch Jack and Davy -- both have strong points, but I think overall, NECA is more detailed. Had NECA doen an 18-inch Davy JOnes, I would have never boguht any of the others -- had I known NECA wasn't going to make a companion 18-inch Davy to match the 18-inch Jack, I never would have bought the 18-inch Jack.

SOmetimes it pays to wait to see what al is going to be released before you decide -- especially in matters concerning SCALE of figures.
