This prop is so obvious I'm not even going to tell you what it is. :lol

I had a spare right hand from a manniquin and I found a craft box at Walmart. A little paint, a little glue, a quick and easy little prop.

This is probably the most fun prop piece I have ever built.

oh, and as a side note, thing was not performed by Richard Edlund. thing in the addams family series was Ted Cassidy. and in the two 90's movies, it was Christopher Hart.

now put it on a card table next to an empty bowl on the porch so all of the kids in the neighborhood see it.

Then when Halloween comes around cut a hole in the table and the box and stick your hand through it. As the kids go to reach in the bowl. you can grab for them.

Guaranteed good laughs. Make sure you film it too!;)

Ha! I built Thing some time in the early 90's... (aroun' the time of the conflict with the Eye-rackies). I attached the hand to the lid with a piece of wire or string so that it would raise up and lower as the box was opened and closed.

Neat... sweet... petite!

I was going to comment on that... I have a casting of Hart's hand (Thing) with a not-so-fancy COA referencing him.

Yup, that's what I was goiung for. The whole black and white bit. I wasn't sure if I liked it but if you guys do, I'm sold. :)

Bro, that "thing" is AWESOME! What a cool piece for Halloween. It's making me want to do one. :)
