1:1 Talky Tina - is it happening?

I had seen a few pics from Comicon that showed what appeared to be a full scale Talky Tina replica - anyone know anything about this?
If it is indeed a future product to be released, that thing had better talk and quote lines directly from the show!

I'd buy it.. as a gift for others. Don't think I could keep something like that in my house! Too creepy! :lol

I thought that it said it was going to be released next summer or something. But whenever I try and find any info on the her or the Mystic Seer (Full-Size) I can't turn up anything.

It's a pretty creepy doll and I really don't want to miss out on it if/when it is released - like I missed out on the Sideshow chucky:cry
Me and my father watch Twilight Zone every year when the marathon is aired and the Living Doll episode is one of our favorates.

Wait... POPULAR MECHANICS is covering toys at Comic Con?! :lol

We've come a long way from Wordless Workshop. :rolleyes

Here's a link I found. It says available this fall, but I doubt that'll happen, I can't find anything on it really aside from the info at the con.

Toy Pictures from Comic Con 2010 – Action Figure Comic Con 2010 Pictures - Popular Mechanics

Thanks for the link!
Hopefully the doll will be out in time for Christmas - I havent read anything on it regarding if it will be limited edition or not, but the price point seems pretty good so long as it is accurate. Glad to see the doll says "I'm going to kill you" - to me, that's a must-have feature with this thing!!
Who is making the replica??

The company who is making this(bifBangPow) is also making several Retro-styled 8" figures(sort of Mego-like), including several Twilight Zone characters in this scale. Some of the guys from BBP are active on the Mego Museum and I've exchanged messages with one of them. I even gave him links to our discussion of how the screen-used prop may have been made and my (sloooow) build thread. I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure the doll is not 1:1. I'm thinking she is more like 19", and the doll used for the real Tina was 22". Also, the headsculpt is not completely accurate - this is what drove me nuts - According to the guy I heard from, they have the rights to the Talky Tina character, but not the Brikette likeness. Get this, originally, they were using the pictures from the Tower of Terror ride and the pinball machine as reference! I was really excited about this doll, until I saw it. It's a shame, because the dress looks pretty good. I'll find a link to some pics and post once I find them.

Ok, there are other pics elsewhere, but this link has most of the products all in one place. You'll see the Mystic Seer prop, the Talky Tina deluxe doll, and most of the 8" scale TZ figures. According to the messages I still have from the BBP guy, the big Talky Tina is 18". Michael Crawford's Review of the Week

That's crazy! I thought that the Talking Tina they were going to release was pretty close face-wise, but then again, I haven't seen the episode in a while.

I can see a difference in the face, but maybe that's because I have two Brikettes sitting in my home, one unaltered and one that is being turned into my own replica. I think the dress looks pretty good. I've heard that they want it to talk, but I don't know if that happened for sure. I don't think it's able to move its head and arms.

Then why do it?
Why go into the effort of doing the doll if you're not going to make it move/talk and look just like it does on-screen???

As far as the height, I was told that this is a deluxe action figure, as opposed to a prop replica. They said that they didn't have permission to use recreate the Brikette doll, so the likeness had to be slightly off. It bugs me to no end. I don't recall how much it is, but it's more than I'm willing to pay for how this turned out.
