1:1 Silicone 'ESB' Yoda Puppet Project... (Update Page 4)

Hey Guys,

I finally finished my first silicone ESB Yoda head! I tinted the silicone very opaque so it resembled latex rather than the traditional translucent silicone skin. I then did about three different layers for the colors. I'm very happy with the final outcome, he looks just like a latex head and the best part is he will out last us all!

The ultimate goal is the full statue... but I'm stuck with work projects so this project always get put on the back burner. I'm working on three different versions: The final silicone puppet version that will be 100% cable operated, this 'static' silicone one and a resin cast version too. The only things that are posable on this one are the eyes and the ears have wires imbedded inside to pose them. The clothes were just tempted on this for the photos, I'm currently working on a robe and tunic that will be a little more accurate

Great piece Howard old bean :love You know I'm a fan of your work.. your stuff is always so clean and professionally done and beautifully presented. You must be so proud you've finally gotten that Yoda you've always wanted... Are the eyes Cantar + Nissel??
