I am getting ready to start building a 1:1 scale comic book style Joker (Not 89 or TDK). Before I started the project I wanted to see if anyone had any good resources for a head/face or any pictures from any previous projects that I may use for insparation.

Any preferences in which version of the Joker you are going after?
Any particolar style/look?
A little more info will bring more comments;)

I've always been particular to the way he looked in "The Killing Joke":

I'll give another +1 to Brian Bolland's Joker (artist who did Killing Joke)

And Alex Ross has to be mentioned in any discussion of comic artists,

Reevz was doing a comic style joker mask (with punched hair and everything) a while ago, I'd try contacting him

"Killing Joke" Joker has always been my personal favorite. I like the way Bolland "normalizes" the Joker's pre-transformation look when he's duped into putting on the Red Hood; it really made me believe that somebody could have been changed into something like The Joker. Good luck!!!

i am SO happy to see someone do one NOT from a movie , they are getting a bit old...going old school will be great..Jerry Robinson will be proud

+ one for the killing joke.

that was the first comic to really grab me as a kid. you really got to see the joker for what he is.

I like the "Killing Joke" Joker or the AA Joker. I also like what Reevez is working on, but I actually was thinking of getting the one he is working on for a riddler later down the road. He had an old Resin joker head, but it cannot be purchased (attached).

Anyone know where I can find somthing along these lines?

I made a 1:1 comic style Joker about 10 years ago that was influenced mostly by Carl Critchlow's version. It was cast using a plaster waste mold, so this is the only copy.

if you do a comic one I would got for a multi part prothstetic as opposed to a full on head mask. I had a good link for a joker chin once :lol

I agree with troopermatthew, pick a basic look, maby do a nose and/or chin prosthetic, but what ever you do, do not get cheap-o makeup. There have been soo many Jokers who had good looking suits, but the bad makeup just killed the look. Buy some quality stuff and practice putting it on.
