This is an original “Beast” puppet from The Sandlot - one of the rarest and most recognizable props from the film. When I found it, it had spent over 20 years in an outdoor storage container.
The original prop maker, Rick Lazzarini, and his team at The Character Shop completed an incredible, painstaking restoration to bring it back to life. The internal animatronic wiring is still intact, though the foam latex skin had become too brittle to fully reactivate. The focus shifted to halting the aging process and preserving it as-is, making it a true display piece for any collection.
