“Star Trek” Season 4 “Alien Weapon”

I was cleaning up my shop today and let myself get pulled into a bit of a distraction, as often happens.

I was going through a box of random leftover “Trek TOS” parts and, rather than throwing them away, decided I could make some kind of alien weapon that may have appeared in a season 4 of the series (in the alternate universe in which that may have happened).

Using leftover parts from some season three weapons, I cobled this together. (You may recognize some of the kit parts this build came from...there’s a lot of Garth’s Remote in the overall color and mylar details as well as the weapons from “The Cloudminders” and “Wink of An Eye”.).

I’m addding a few more detail pieces, but I thought I would show what I came up with, so far:

I think you're right on the money it's kind of funny actually I've been wondering about what an andorian look like the Klingons with their Sonic disruptors the phasers Roddenberry wanted his prop makers to make things that look like traditional guns in fact I've been trying to think up my own version of what an andorian weapon would look like going through old pictures and even things from the newer shows and seasons man you hit that right on the money I think if you decide to make a kit badge out of it let me know I would love to purchase one!

OK.

This is as far as I’m going to take this one.

A fun little project.

You ever want to sell that thing let me know

Thanks. This was a lot of fun as it allowed me a lot of creative freedom within the confines of the esthetic of The Original Series.
