I'm stuck in trying to make the joint seamless, the torso is already baked but if I join them for sculpting when I separate again they stick together and deform the abdomen. Gonna try with vaseline on the torso later. edit vaseline worked

Guyver 3 pictures are not showing, but the 2 is looking good, nice touch using a light inside. Have you tried giving a chrome look to the control disc and the "antennae" instead of grey?

Thanks Aeon the shambler was done in a week or so, most of the sculpting done in the first two days and the rest for small details while I was still afraid to bake it. Probably also would be faster on the sculpting and painting if I had previous experience, painting took more time than it should...

I'm doing my second sculpt now and ordered a bucket of silicone to try making some molds, my questions are regarding the filling for casts. Is it ok to cast from the resin used in fiberglass? And why do the kits we see around are hollow, if when I pour the resin into my mold it will be solid thick?

Just yesterday I was thinking in building a pulse rifle with fiberglass! This idea is awesome, just sad that NERF guns aren't sold in my country. How do you work with styrene? Did you have to model it on clay and take molds first?

Thanks Hydin I noticed the size, its because I measured him not counting the helmet, I baked the head first then added the helmet later. Here's a view of the head btw Aeon before starting I thought in doing the pose with lifted arms, the beam could be made with clear resin and a blue LED...

Clutch you made it on comission? Allosaur is that the queen hugger or just another version? I've seen pictures of a tube made from a trashcan as a base, it only didn't had water inside. Would look great with water and a led stripe lighting from the top.

Did you sculpt it in those clays that won't harden and are not to be baked? I'm thinking in getting some and making a silicone mold, they don't bind together right?

Plastic, it's a cheap recast and doesn't have the name of the original one but I think it's the same you're talking about (maybe Halcyon), as the seller also has the long nailed and chestbusters. There's also a queen chestbuster which I was tempted to buy, but thought it would be too complicated...
