    HD screencap is hard to find and I don't have a way to capture it off the blu ray. Plus the version you see in the film is not the complete painting. I would guess maybe 2/3rds at most.

    After 15 - 20 minutes of scrubbing using a standard issue dish washing sponge and some dish washing soup I have some good results. I had planned on the acetone as a backup but I don't think I'll need it. Gold was mostly gone along with the "after image". I would have continued but my fingers...

    Thanks for the replies. I would never have thought of using acetone on a ceramic surface, that won't damage the glaze? Here is a pic of the full mug and it's purple twin in action, I'll take a better one later at home:

    I was able to find DS9 quark's bar mug for a good price the other day but it has two gold starbucks seals on it. I can scrape them away with just my thumb nail but an "after image" or shadow of sorts still remains. Is there a light sandpaper or chemical that removes this stuff well?
