    Pattern Techniques for Foam Builds?

Printing the pattern on to adhesive paper is also an option. When the foam shapes are cut soak them in warm soapy water and the adhesive paper will just peel right off.

    Eva painting

Try mixing acrylic paints with liquid latex. I use amonia to thin it to a suitable consistency to spray with. Just a little amount of latex.. 1 part latex to 10 parts paint. Just enough to add some flex to the paint. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

    Destiny Hunter helmet timelapse video

Hi WilsonUndead The best way to construct most foam templates is to use the Pepakura Viewer programme and work alongside your computer, high light the various pieces and then rotating the 3d model to see how each piece connects. Hope that helps. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

Good to hear you're looking to get motivated, be sure to share your results. [emoji1] I managed to tidy up the seams, add some details and throw some paint on this helm. Check out the results. Next up will be the Warlock Iron Companion Hood. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

    Destiny Hunter helmet timelapse video

Hi All I thought I'd share a timelapse video of how I put together a Hunter helmet from Destiny using a template designed for EVA foam. Some of the things I like to do, which are different than what I've seen previously are as follows; Print my template onto adhesive paper, cut the shapes out...

    Foam Destiny Helmets.

Hi RPF! Since the weather has been so cold and miserable over the winter I set out to hone my indoor crafting skills, with the use of EVA foam in particular. So armed with Pepakura and a few .pdo files, some EVA floor mats, a pair of fabric scissors, an xacto knife and some Copydex glue I set...

    Laser Cut Foam?

Hi. I'm surprised more people haven't tried to cut their foam templates using a laser cutting. Tell me, how fast is the process? I understand it all depends on the complexity of the template but maybe you could give us an idea of how long it takes to cut about 10 x A4 templates for say a chest...

    Foam Build Adhesive Question

From what I have read Barge is classed as toxic and recommends using a respirator and should be used in a well ventilated room. You could probably get away with using it sparingly without issue but if you plan on using it for long periods of time in an enclosed space then probably best to follow...

    Foam Build Adhesive Question

None whatsoever. I do find that I have to roughen the surface from textured EVA foam mats, or any foam with a less pourus surface for that matter. This is to get a good surface for the glue to adhere to. This can be done by either sanding, dremeling or simply removing with a Stanley knife. For...

    Foam Build Adhesive Question
