Im actually using standard 8.5x11 110pd Card Stock. I also use 26pd paper when i need to roll tubes or fold really small objects. I originally learned to paint pewter minatures and it surprising how well those techniques scale up to larger scale models.

I finished the legs last night. I am happy with how fast this project has been moving. If I am lucky I will be able to start painting this weekend.

The model has been moving along pretty quickly. I finished the upper and lower torsos. I am using bits of wire in addition to paper to add some of the detailing. Now to move on to the legs.

Excellent work, This is one of my favorite props from any movie and yours is coming along beautifully. I dont know how people build with styrene. I tried it once and kept having to stop because of the strain it puts on my hands. Plus you can't beat the price of a ream of paper vs Styrene.

If you are designing you own graphics I have recently used printable water decals sheets and really liked them. Im sure you could take them to a laser printer and get them done as well. I picked them up at the local hobby store. You might also try this link...
