I was squeaky, all right, and a little annoying but generally polite. I simply pointed out some things that, I believe, made him think a bit. I also let him know I was determined to do whatever it took to get a refund while causing as much negative publicity for him and his new company...

I've just gotten the last payment of my $400 deposit back from Steve. I'm out at this point. I'd encourage anyone who's still owed money to get on the bandwagon and pursue a refund. There's probably a seven-year statute of limitations involved here, and we're at about the six-year mark.

That's my blog post! Unfortunately, I haven't got any hits on it in a while. TomVDJ, I see I'm still on your restored list, and I sent the PM with my contact information for inclusion to the spreadsheet. I've only heard one thing from him--a sale list--and nothing else at this point.

Looks great. It sure would be nice if someone would come up with reasonable-cost electronics to build one of these. I have three or four of the (incorrect but close) phones just waiting for mods...

Well, I'd definitely spend $150-175 on a set of electronics for an original timer if they were done as professionally as these. But I couldn't fund their development as the original customer did on this build. There's enough interest amongst the timer junkies here, and enough of the groundwork...

For that I believe you'd need the parallel interface, which allows transfers between PCs and the Portfolio, first item on page here. I found mine on eBay a while back, with box and software, for well under the $50 that Best wants. I haven't done anything with it yet, but someday... Also...
