I got to see katmurz's costume up close a couple of weeks ago at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo and it's soooooo lovely. She was gracious enough to join us in the 501st photo booth with Kylo and a couple of TFA Troopers to help raise money for Make A Wish. I'd post a picture of it...

I've only seen it from the side but there are definitely little wings. I'm guessing that they are the same fabrics as the rest of the dress as they look similiar.

So the giraffe tulle came from Jo-Anne's. The silver parts are perfect. But the tulle? It's a light purple! AAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!! I'm hoping that it doesn't show up as purple when it's just a single layer and under the spiderweb tulle. This costume....I swear. And then.....I see the dress...

I think the one big thing that people always forget about this place is that there is always someone here who can learn from what you do, no matter what your skill level is. Just because there are some here that are at a higher skill level, doesn't mean that everyone's attempts aren't valuable...

mdb when you get a minute, have a peak at the collar in the movie poster shot. It looks to me like.....ugh.....I don't know how to describe it but I'm seeing lines like its a different fabric than the under skirt. Also just for giggles, have a look at the bottom right side of the dress...
