Wonderflex breastplate question

So I'm working on my next costume, Faora Hu-Ul. So far I've used 3 materials - fosshape (for boobs), wonderflex (details), and foam (next piece). The problem I'm running into is that I can't fit my head through the foam neck piece so I'm trying to decide how I can split the breastplate apart so I can put it on. I tried making the neck piece break apart behind my head but the velcro makes it stick out too far. What about splitting the chest in the front? and using a zipper or something? :S I'm thinking about using this as a practice and go to worbla for the real stuff and maybe use this as a mold somehow, not sure yet!

In the pictures of Faora's Kryptonian costume on display it looks to me like it opens in the back of the collar. I'm going to guess that they did this one the same way. It sort of looks like a zipper but I really haven't put too much in to figuring that out just yet.

As for Wonderflex and Worbla, I love them both. The boobs are definitely easier to do with Worbla but I have made half sphere shapes out of Wonderflex without a whole lot of trouble. As for using it as a mold, I'm not sure if it would work but I'm interested to hear about it if you try! I would think the heat as you try to shape the copy would start to warp your mold unless you did something else to it to protect it.....but what? I was originally using half spheres from plastic Christmas ornaments to make boob shapes but they eventually deteriorate so we made a copy of one of the spheres using hydrocal. I don't think that's an option for you though since you used the fosshape in there.

I'm a whole lot of not helpful this morning, aren't I. hahahaha Good luck with your project!
