Yes, you were right - the shrinkage of the grip had moved the sensor (which is glued into the grip) away so it wasn't making contact. I removed the grip and got it functioning again, but the wires were deeply glued into the rubber of the grip and they broke after a while. So now I'm looking at...
I have a SD Lawgiver that I bought fully assembled. Recently the clip insertion doesn't reset the ammo, so while the other sound and lights work, I just get "lethal rounds exhausted" when pulling the trigger. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? Perhaps a sensor on the clip?
According to cosplaysky.com - hellocosplay has been stealing pics from their site. Not the Harkness coat specifically, but I thought it worth mentioning.
I've ordered from cosplaysky and was really happy with it. I had it within 10 days too (paid for rush).

Has anyone tried to repair the electronics by themselves? Mine lit up at one point, but once I turned it on and it died, never to light again. MR keeps sending me replacement bases, but that's obviously not the problem.
Anyone pop off the hood and see if they can re-wire it?
I have Harry's light up. It's pretty bright and the motion activation is pretty cool. But it's oversized compared to the other prop wands. The size and plastic look make it appear and feel more like a toy than the other props.
I like it, but it hasn't inspired me to pick up Hermione's...
