    JFcustom's FOAM files

Re: Speed-building files'n'tricks : FOAM Iron Man MkVII within 4 days. This is an awesome build! I'm planning on using your modified files to make a foam/aluminum Mark VII, but the .rar files you've posted don't want to open in Pepakura. Do you have another link or method of viewing and...

Captain America: TFA Belt and Holster Rig - Finally done!

Re: Captain America: TFA Belt and Holster Rig - How to Display? This is looking like a pretty good build. :cool I used a replica holster with an old belt riveted through the grommet in the bottom of the holster, not completley accurate, but it works for now. I'm about to begin making the...

    Ghost MW2 costume

I'm excited to see how this turns out! If you are basing your costume off of the statue, the jacket you're probably best off going with an inexpensive tactical softshell jacket, take a look at Condor Outdoor (OE Tech). If you are trying to get a fleece, like the one Ghost wore in his last...

Metal Movie Cap Shield on a budget **DONE!! FINAL PICS ON PAGE 4

Kevin, I used Klean-Strip aircraft grade paint stripper, it was $11.99 at O'Reilys autoparts. When appliying the stripper, you are going to want to apply thick globs of it all over the disc, then let it sit for 20-30 minutes, and you should start to see the paint bubble up. It should then scrape...

    Another Cap:TFA question!

I made mine as a two piece. If you look in the back area, it appears there is a V shaped flap from the 'vest' part of the upper, underneath the belt.

Metal Movie Cap Shield on a budget **DONE!! FINAL PICS ON PAGE 4

I used .025" aluminum for the braces/brackets on my shield, after some use though, the smaller brackets are bending. How thick was the aluminum you used, it appears to be much thicker than .025"? Thanks Great work by the way!

Metal Movie Cap Shield on a budget **DONE!! FINAL PICS ON PAGE 4

Re: Metal Movie Cap Shield on a budget Good call. The weight would be rather significant, and so would the price. Yet two might be cool... :cool I just got my sled today, I didn't realize they weighed as much as they do.

Metal Movie Cap Shield on a budget **DONE!! FINAL PICS ON PAGE 4

Re: Metal Movie Cap Shield on a budget The other thing you could do with this is cut each sled into their respective rings and sandwhich them together. This should work since the rings on the back of the shield don't quite line up with the rings on the front of it. By staggering the cuts...
