Die Hard radio - kinda sorta

Hey oldpropguy, thanks for the info about the radio props. I don't get on here as much as I used to, just saw this thread had new posts while doing some catching up. I seem to recall since the last time this thread was active somebody had posted a bluray grab in another thread that showed that...

    H & K MP-5 Gun ship

Wow, very cool. I was sort of hoping that it would be something in the same scale as your outstanding Tempest model, but this is great too. I like the way the canopy sits low on the model, gives it a hot-rod feel. Jim

Quick Ghostbusters Question - Stubby Antenna

Some Motorola radios use the same mounting stud as the MT500, others are different. Wish I could find a link I had that showed a table that listed what antennas interchange, but I can't.

    R.I.P. G.D. Spradlin

Sorry to hear about your loss. Loved him in "Tank" - that was a character you just loved to hate. Jim

    Hot Wheels Ecto-1

Looks great with the new wheels. When (if) I get one of these, I'll have to attempt that. I haven't seen any of these locally, and I've been combing the racks looking for other stuff lately (police, muscle cars), so if they'd been there I'd have seen them. I think Cincinnati is one of the last...

    Hot Wheels BTTF DeLoreans

Very nice work! I like a well done diecast custom. I've picked up a couple of the Time Machines, the stock and gold Deloreans as well, but I've never seen a black variant, that's interesting. Lately I've been seeing the the TMs and stock versions a lot. Jim

NuBSG Long Range Radio - Finished- now with pretty pictures!

Re: NuBSG Long Range Radio Nice job, even if it is a 220. I picked up an HT-440 some time back but couldn't figure out what the antenna was. Do you have a model number or a link for that? Thanks, Jim

Another Junk Raygun by Tack - The Haint

Very nice. I like it a lot; it's not over-greebled like a lot of raygun designs. Nicely weathered (I'm assuming a lot of that is natural wear) and imposing. Jim

    Comic Book "Eras"

I believe the Golden Age is considered 30s up until late 40s or early 50s; there were a broad range of titles, not just superheroes. Silver Age basically started in the last half of the 50s with the introduction of Hal-GL and Barry-Flash and went up until late 60s, maybe early 70s; it saw a rise...

    A Medical Sonic Screwdriver

Hi, neat idea. Are the batteries connected to the LED through a resistor or directly connected? If directly connected, then find an LED that runs on 4.5V. Otherwise, find a white LED in the less than 4.5V range, find its current draw, and using Ohms Law you can determine the necessary resistor...

    Superman renounces US citizenship

I stopped buying DC after "52" or whichever weekly travesty followed it. I picked up the "Blackest Night" issues of Green Lantern but I'm hard pressed to able to tell you what it was actually about. I was still buying Marvels until recently, but due to expense and crappy meaningless storylines...

    Thor Movie Reviews

Well, didn't get to see it last night, the friend with the vouchers couldn't be there until half an hour before the showing and it was already sold out. Of course it was first come, first served and overbooked. He didn't quite grasp that until I pointed out the fine print. Bummer.
