This is my Star Trek Nemesis/First Contact/DS9 Admirals uniform.
I have one made, tailored for me that I can post pics of.
Waiting for my buckle,belt and communicator to finish it off and I am
redoing the tunic.


The fabric came from a reputable vendor that has a long standing history
of supplying Hollywood. They showed me proof of having supplied Paramount
for the Star Trek movies so I am confidant the fabric is either the same, or
very close, close enough to fool Admiral Dougherty.

I'm interested in just the regular First Contact/Nemesis uniform. :thumbsup

Would like to see the pics of your admiral uniform for sure.
 
Yah, that's kind of an issue but I am always open to combining resources to get everyone the best that's out there.

Talk about nipping a project in the bud before it ever starts.

I wonder, will they be like other licenses Paramount/CBS grants?

Take a look at the Playmates Tricorder or the company making
those $29.99 Halloween "uniforms", I wouldn't concider either
of them to be worthy of collection.

Either way, it seems that I'd be stepping on toes offering the
uniform as planned.

I keep trying to take pictures but it is hard without the correct camera, lighting
or tecnique but here is one that came out nice, I'll take a few more and I'm sure
at least one or two will be nice...

Here are a few, I didn't touch them up although I probably could fix the lighting
in Corel or Adobe. I put it on for these pictures. I blocked out my face ;) and I
should add, it has not been pressed yet, the tunic under is not finished so I am
wearing a turtle neck that has a close color to the tunic. I should add that there
is a company selling these, they appear to be high end and not the **** carried
at any local store. And here I was thinking this outfit would be my only real competition... how little did I know eh!

The yoke on yours is not the made with the same type fabric as the original fabric, it is close, but not exactly right. Also, you are missing some sleeve straps and belt loops there :)

No, I am not Shadowdale Creations.

You lost me, sleeve straps? Belt loops? I take it you mean the command color
on the wrist area and belt loops because I don't have the belt/buckle worked out yet...

This is a work in progress....heck, it hasn't even been pressed yet!

No, I was using that site as a reference point since those are pretty darn close to original.

I had no idea they are banned...


Like I told Joe at anovos.com, My Mother-in-Law has been a seamstress her entire life, she
looked at a few pictures and screen grabs I took from movies and in 3 days had this jacket
and the pants finished from the yards of fabric I bought.

Could be wrong but that sounds to me like he's saying shadowdalecreations sells them and that he thought they were the only competition.

Yes...at the time I started this thread I was ignorant of two things, firstly
that a license was granted for uniforms (and by uniforms, I don't mean the garden variety you can find at KB Hobby) and that the very company I was going to use as a reference is a guys thats banned.
