I thought that was odd too. The only thing I can think of is maybe they attached a blade to the "metal core"

Hmm, do I paint mine to match that one with the silver control pad and silver clip mount with circular ring, or go with the Profiles version with gold/brass control pad, black clip mount, and D ring. Decisions decisions ...

Yep! I think someone "cleaned up" the T track and ended up sanding them different along the length.

The curvature exists on mine too though
